I was led to believe the protagonist’s name was ‘You,’ because that’s all I heard anyone call him.

Bandits lurk around every corner, ready to jump anyone without a second thought, and deadly mutants threaten to destroy entire towns with little more than a stomp and a swipe.
The world’s infrastructure has been decimated, forcing survivors to move through long stretches of dirt in the hopes of finding a friendly outpost. Set some time in the future, after an asteroid has crashed and destroyed the majority of humanity, Rage is bleak, brown, and desolate. The action made me very excited about what’s to come in Rage 2, assuming its developers can find and expand on the game’s best qualities, which weren’t always obvious at first glance. In so doing, I found a game that delivers tons of the high-energy action Id’s fans have come to expect wrapped in a story that absolutely no one needed. I had ignored Rage when it came out, but decided to go back and take a look at it, in light of the surprisingly intriguing sequel. Rage was something of an outlier in the canon of first-person shooters made by Doom developer Id Software, as it emphasized world-building and story much more than its classic games like Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Quake, in which you shoot first, and ask questions later. (Except, maybe, DT’s former gaming editor). Last month, Bethesda revealed it was making Rage 2 - the sequel to a 2011 first-person shooter no one was waiting for. If you already own the Deluxe Edition, you will automatically gain access to the DLC for free. It is also available as a Digital Deluxe Upgrade for 1750 Rage Coins ($17.50). TerrorMania can be downloaded upon release through the in-game store for 500 RageCoins ($5). Charge up the Sword of Transitus to unleash an arc of devastating force.

To help you combat these skeletal enemies, a new weapon is available. Hurry and accomplish your goal before these evil forces take over the land of the living. You will be tasked with reversing said curse before "the skeletal forces of darkness" are unleashed. The wasteland has been cursed, causing an alternate reality to form. In it, you will explore an alternate reality of the wasteland, the Deadlands. The second expansion to Rage 2 will be made available on November 14.īethesda has released details for second Rage 2 expansion, TerrorMania.
